Famous Kerala food and cuisine
Seafood and meat are the main diets in most of the parts of Kerala and people include it in their everyday mealtime. During festivals or special occasions or celebrations, food is served in a customary style on a banana leaf.
Almost every dish has coconut and coconut milk and curry leaves for savour. The Kerala breakfast items compromises of Puttu, Appam, Idli, Dosa, Pathiri, Kappa (Tapioca), Parotta are the other dishes served in breakfast with meat, or any other non-vegetarian or vegetarian curry.

The delicious customary special food of Kerala is vegetarian and includes “Kerala Sadya” which consists of rice and about 15-20 different accompaniments along with 3-4 Kerala desserts served typically on occasions during Onam, Vishu or marriage occasions. There are the variety of sweet dishes, pickles and some side dishes to choose from.
As being called “Spice Land”, it produces the major unit of spices and the State frequently produce and use black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger, turmeric, chilli, cumin seeds etc.
Any person who visits Kerala should experience themselves to have the traditional food of Kerala and for sure they would just be in love with the food and would like to have more and more.
